Senior Sales & Account Manager

Circa GBP45,000 per annum + depending on experience + Compamy Car & Bonus

Telford, Shropshire base – Remote role covering the Midlands and Southern UK

Full–time, Permanent position

Hours of work: 8.00am – 5.00pm (Mon – Thurs) 1.00pm finish (Fri)

A dynamic, self–motivated and experienced Telford–based Senior Sales & Account Manager to support continued growth and play a vital role in shaping the company s future.

About the Role:

As a Senior Sales & Account Manager, you will be instrumental in driving commercial growth while strengthening relationships with strategic customers. You will identify new opportunities, cultivate relationships from lapsed clients, manage a portfolio of key accounts, and ensure customers receive exceptional service and tailored solutions.

This role requires a proactive, commercially astute individual capable of understanding customer needs, influencing decision–makers, and delivering measurable results. You will work collaboratively with internal teams to support customers from initial enquiry through to successful project delivery, directly contributing to long–term success.

Key Responsibilities include:

Develop and execute strategic sales plans to meet company targets and expand market presence.

Manage and grow existing customer relationships, ensuring outstanding service and satisfaction.

Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities within target sectors.

Prepare monthly reports covering account performance, margins, pipeline activity, and customer trends.

Generate and qualify leads to build a robust pipeline.

Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities.

Prepare and deliver professional presentations and proposals with confidence.

Lead contract negotiations to secure favourable terms and long–term partnerships.

Collaborate with design and operations teams to develop tailored packaging solutions.

Represent the business at industry events, exhibitions, and customer meetings.

Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and quality standards.

Key Skills and Experience Required:

Proven experience in a Senior Sales role within a similar environment is essential

Background within the automotive or packaging sector is advantageous, but not required

Strong understanding of OEM and Tier 1 Automotive supplier environments is beneficial.

Commitment to delivering exceptional customer satisfaction and building strong client relationships.

Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem–solving skills.

Solid technical understanding or the ability to learn new products effectively.

Proficiency in CRM platforms including Sage or similar, inventory management systems, and sales/fulfilment software.

Knowledge of CAD drawings or technical design processes (advantageous but not essential).

Ability to quickly absorb detailed product knowledge and sector expertise to meet client needs and drive sales.

Track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.

Demonstrated ability to close sales and conduct effective negotiations.

Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

Collaborative, team–oriented approach.

Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel (UK and abroad).
