Description

We are seeking a dynamic and detail–oriented Event Manager. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in external event planning and trade shows and have a passion for creating memorable experiences for guests and delegates.

This role requires exceptional organisational skills, the ability to communicate effectively, and a knack for upselling services to enhance event offerings. As an Event Manager, you will oversee all aspects of event execution, ensuring that every detail aligns with company visions and values.

Responsibilities

Plan, coordinate, and execute events from conception to completion, ensuring all client requirements are met. Collaborate with various stakeholders and external parties to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions. Manage budgets and negotiate contracts with vendors, venues, and suppliers. Oversee event logistics including catering, audiovisual needs, decorations, and guest services. Lead on–site teams during events to ensure smooth operations and address any issues that may arise. Implement effective time management strategies to meet deadlines and maintain high–quality standards. Develop marketing strategies for events, including fundraising initiatives when applicable. Maintain strong relationships with hotel and restaurant partners to enhance service offerings. Manage and report on event budgets. Maintain calendar of events to ensure this is update to for internal monitoring. Experience

Proven experience in event management. Strong background in upselling services and enhancing guest experiences. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Effective communication skills to liaise with clients, vendors, and team members. Experience in fundraising events is an advantage but not essential. Experience managing budgets. This position will require travel across the UK therefore you will need a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle. You will also be expected to stay away overnight for some events.
