Procurement Specialist

Description

This is a remote working opportunity for a Procurement Specialist on a 5 month contract, hours are part time to suit you with a pay rate of £400 - £500 per day.

You will be joining the team of a respected UK-Based Public Governance Organisation as they undertake an above threshold exercise to establish a panel of specialist suppliers to provide technical services from time to time to support their work.

As Procurement Specialist you will lead a high-value exercise in full compliance with the Procurement Act 2023. This role also includes training and mentoring the internal team to build long-term capability.

Your responsibilities as Procurement Specialist will include:

Designing and managing a compliant purchasing process

Developing all core documentation including strategy, ITT, evaluation criteria, and contract terms

Advising on supplier engagement and CCS frameworks

Providing hands-on mentoring and structured training workshops

Delivering a reusable toolkit for future procurements

Relevant public purchasing experience

Knowledge and experience of the Procurement Act 2023

Proposed approach and understanding

Capacity building and knowledge transfer
