Lab assistant

Description

Our client, based in Tamworth is recruiting for a Laboratory Assistant to join their team.

Key role responsibilities, to:

* Receive, process, and analyse samples to the highest ethical standards.

* Prepare representative samples using techniques such as milling, splitting, riffling, and sieving.

* Prepare powder samples for analysis using Fire Assay, Oxidising Fusion, and classic wet chemistry techniques.

* Conduct analysis using ICP-OES, XRF, and Leco Carbon analysers.

* Perform routine equipment checks, calibrations, and maintenance.

* Uphold cleanliness and organisation in the laboratory at all times.

* Conduct analysis using ICP-OES, XRF, and Leco Carbon analysers

* Work safely and in full compliance with HSE standards and company procedures.

Essential skills and requirements:

* Strong practical and analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail.

* Ability to follow standard operating procedures and written instructions accurately.

* Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to work independently when required.

* Experience within a laboratory or materials testing environment
