We are looking for a dynamic, reliable & motivated person to assist in leading our team. You need a genuine love of good coffee, good food & people. You will be managing the overall service produced by the team in our aspiring independent Café, Kitchen & Delicatessen.

You will assist the Store Manager in supporting training needs for developing the team’s performance to deliver fantastic, consistent good food and drink to a high standard of service with all members understanding the importance of a properly crafted good food & drink. You will also help to develop a new Staff Training Programme.

Working front of house you will be serving all products with individualised attention to clients and have exceptional customer service skills. We'd like you to be able to discuss our unique brand of own products comfortably, and in time, be capable of educating our customers & staff about all things Deli and their provenance.

You need to be a creative and help develop & organise retail promotions, tastings & events in house alongside your daily activities. You will also assist in the growth and development of the Company’s Identity & Brand

What we’re looking for:
• a self-motivated leader, efficient & inspiring to work colleagues, with an attention to
detail and a pride in presentation of your team, product, service & the Company.
• Minimum of 2 years’ management experience within a volume driven restaurant
• Someone service inspired who won’t compromise for an easy life
• A history of assisting guiding and developing people & sharing enthusiasm
• Ability to remain unruffled in an often busy & demanding environment
• Someone who is a team player as well as a leader
• A talent for spotting and resolving problems quickly and efficiently
• Great communication skills
• Ability to manage time effectively and hit deadlines
• The chance to have an input on the businesses direction

Some or all of the following skills would be advantageous
• Fine food or stock management experience
• Event management experience
• Confident in daily cash handling procedures and accounts
• Staff training
• Writing of staff rotas

Position details: Full-time, permenant. Hours are approximately 40 per week, including alternate weekends. A three month probationary period will initially be given to the right candidate. Immediate start preferred but not essential, we will wait for the right person. The job involves people & performance management, customer service, food handling, stock control, creating promotions & displays, handling deliveries (including loads up to 15kg) & some regular cleaning.
