People & Culture Advisor

Location: On-site Salary: GBP36,000-GBP40,000 Hours: Full-time (flexible/condensed hours considered)

About the Role

We're looking for a proactive and collaborative People & Culture Advisor to join a supportive HR team within a values-led organisation. This is a broad, hands-on generalist role where you'll provide practical HR guidance across the full employee lifecycle while helping to foster a positive and inclusive culture.

You'll work closely with managers to build confidence in people management, offering advice on employee relations, policy application, and day-to-day HR matters.

Key Responsibilities

Provide practical HR advice to managers on policies, procedures and employment legislationManage employee relations casework including absence, disciplinary, grievance and performanceSupport absence management, maternity processes and employee wellbeing initiativesAssist with contracts, pay queries, onboarding and general HR administration during busy periodsCoach and support managers to build effective people management skillsEnsure HR records and processes remain compliant and up to dateContribute to HR projects and continuous improvement initiativesAbout You

Previous experience in a generalist HR role (Advisor level or strong HR Officer)Confident handling employee relations cases and advising managersStrong communication skills with the ability to build credibility quicklyHighly organised with a proactive, solutions-focused approachCIPD Level 5 desirable but not essentialThe Team

You'll be part of a friendly and experienced People & Culture team, working closely with the Director, HR Business Partner, Officer and Recruitment Administrator.
