SHARED PURCHASE OPTION

If you were to consider purchasing our lodge on a 50% co-ownership basis with another interested party who you know and trust, there are considerable savings to be achieved in terms of the original price to be paid and contributions to ongoing running costs. This way allows two families and their friends to enjoy the lodge all year round and utilisation can be divided on an agreed basis to ensure the full use of this fine property.
If you were to purchase the lodge in joint names, the sale price (shared 50% each) would be paid to the owners of the holiday park pending the transfer of the Licence Agreement into the names of the new owners. Our existing agreement is for a period of 36 years so a new agreement would be signed for the remaining 31 years.. The buying procedure is fairly informal compared with house purchasing and as soon as the formalities are signed off, the the sale proceeds will be paid to us as sellers and the keys handed over to you as new owners.
It is worth mentioning that, with a purchase in co-ownership, it is always advisable to have a separate agreement drawn up between the two parties in order to protect each owner's individual rights and liabilities in the event of any unforeseen circumstances arising.The modest cost of having this agreement drawn up legally may prove a sensible decision in the future.


In certain cases where we have parties who note a strong interest in a purchase after viewing, we may be prepared, at our own discretion, to offer a' rent before you buy' arrangement' whereby the parties can have a 4 day rental period at a discounted rate the cost of which would be repayable if the sale went ahead.
