Maths Teacher (KS3 / KS4 / Key Stage 3 / Key Stage 4) who has experience in mainstream schools and working with ASD and SEN children is required to join a fantastic team in Taunton, Somerset.

The organisation’s provision is for children and young people who have had limited success in formal education, or who have struggled in specialist settings. Their teachers and support workers are specialist trained to work in developing the child.

SALARY: £27,000 - £33,000 per annum +Benefits (See Below)

JOB OVERVIEW

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Maths Teacher (KS3 / KS4 / Key Stage 3 / Key Stage 4) who has experience in mainstream schools and working with ASD and SEN children.

The school provides a holistic approach, boosts confidence, self-esteem and helps young people to develop skills to be a successful learner. A therapeutic informed approach is used to recognise and reduce barriers to learning and create a personalised curriculum.

The school is looking for a Maths Teacher KS3 / KS4 ​to join a friendly team at their provisions in Taunton, Somerset. In this role you would be expected to ensure all children and young people within care are secure and receiving the best possible educational provision and outcomes.

Working alongside the Headteacher, as the Maths Teacher, you will demonstrate a clear understanding of the challenges of delivering consistent, quality learning opportunities to students with higher and complex needs. The successful candidate will hold QTS.

The organisation is looking for a Maths Teacher who has experience in mainstream schools, working with ASD and SEN children, have worked with young people organising and running events/camps/play schemes for large groups of children from pre-school to adults. Ideally, they would like you to have experience of delivering education in an alternative education setting as well as mainstream school.

You will work in community settings where you will be required to create positive and engaging learning environments, there may be need to support other local Hub Schools, depending on pupil demands to the service.
