Sorghum Saccharatum.
Only £8 !!
6 months ago this was a seedling 6 inches high !! - see pic 4.
Fast growing with huge flower stalk.
Sends babies up from the base.
Stout, jointed, fibrous stalks that are rich in sugar.
Simple to grow indoors, outdoors or in a greenhouse.
Canes can reach 6 to 18 feet.
Drought resistant and tolerates most soil types.
A perennial grass, its juice can be made into Rum, Syrup, Sugar crystals, rock sweets and also makes good livestock fodder !
