Description
A Kentia palm in very good healthy condition looked after it for a few years now and was potted up earlier this year for it to grow and thrive. Now around about 4 feet in height.
The Kentia palm is considered one of the most beautiful palms in the world and is suitable for growing either indoors. Reputed to be one of the most sought after indoor palms due to its upright elegant appearance and general hardiness. Growing conditions: Moist well drained soil.
To care for a Kentia palm, place it in bright, indirect light and water it when the top inch or two of soil is dry, allowing excess water to drain completely to prevent root rot. Increase humidity by misting the leaves or placing the pot on a tray of pebbles with water. Fertilize monthly during spring and summer, reduce watering and fertilizing in winter, and trim only dead fronds at the base. Don’t place near heat sources - radiators, fire places, wood burners. Keep out of strong sunshine.
