Rushmere St Andrew, Suffolk

Description

🌱 Rare, fresh Manihot Grahamii seed - rarely available 🌱

Add bold, tropical-style foliage to your garden with fresh 2025 Manihot grahamii seeds. This hardy ornamental grows quickly and brings a lush, exotic texture to containers or garden beds.

These are fresh seeds, rarely available. Fresh seed is required for germination.

As you can see in the attached photo, these seeds are viable - you can see them starting to germinate. These are the exact same seed batch as are for sale here. These were placed in a fridge for 24 hours, then soaked in warm water for 24 hours. You can see some already germinating.

If you are into hardy tropical style gardening, you will know this plant. It is often the ultimate on wishlists, and very rarely available.

✔ Manihot Grahamii Highlights

Fast-growing shrub/tree (up to 2–3 m in a season)

Attractive palmate leaves with a tropical look

Easy to grow once established. Care required whilst they are young.

Tolerates cooler conditions found in the UK.

Ideal for pots, patios, and landscape accents

🌱 Seed Info

Fresh, clean 2025 harvest

Tested viable.

🌿 Growing Tips

Sand the seed shell slightly on its edge to expose the inner seed

Place in a fridge for 24 hours.

Soak 12–24 hrs - 20-25C water

Moisten a 80% perlite / 20% seed compost mix

Sow 5mm deep on their side

Cover lightly with vermiculite

Place in a warm light place (25-30C) and leave. Make sure compost doesn't dry out.

These seeds are renowned for erratic germination. Some could appear in 2 to 3 weeks; others can take over a year to germinate. This is a natural process which maximises the effectiveness of the mother plant in seeding. Never throw your seeds away - they could still pop up.

The price is £4 per seed.

I have very few seeds available - get them whilst they are available.

Postage & Packing is £1 regardless of number of seeds purchased. Or free collection from near Ipswich.
