Description
2012 Vespa LX 50 in black, a straightforward little scooter that’s been perfectly reliable for me. It starts cleanly, runs without drama, and had a new battery fitted in the summer, so the basics are all in good order. MOT ran until September 2025, but shouldn’t be issued getting redone.
Cosmetically it’s very much a London-used Vespa. The panels have scrapes, the seat is worn, and the plastics show their age. Nothing structural or worrying, but it’s not pretending to be immaculate. If you want a tidy commuter, it will do that job straight away; if you enjoy improving things, there’s room to smarten it up without sinking money into it.
I bought it earlier this year for short hops across town, then changed jobs and stopped needing it. It deserves to be used rather than sitting in a car park.
