Description

Elizabeth Louise Vigee Le Brun (1755-1842) Boy in Red Painting in Frame, This is a (I believe) print of an original painting by Elizabeth Louise Vigee Le Brun (1755-1842) Boy in Red. It is in the frame that is has always been, I have listed it as after 1900, but I guess it could be earlier. It was my Father's and it used to hang in his bedroom when he was a boy, so that is the early 1930's. I have tried to photograph it as best I can, including the information on the back. We did try to sell this at Auction, and it was valued as an estimate between £120-£150 by Dreweatts of Bristol. Unfortunately it did not sell. Dreweatts listed it as 'After Elizabeth Louise Vigee Le Brun (1755-1842) Boy in Red, Polychrome print titled to label verso". The approx. size of the picture/painting/print in its frame is 25" x 21 1/2".
