Description

1979 Yamaha XS650 Se, I bought this bike off an old friend who had owned it for over 20 years. Some 7-8 years back, all the engine gaskets were renewed, and then sadly the bike just sat in a garage.. Since Owning the bike, the carbs and fuel taps have been ultrasonically cleaned, fuel tank cleaned out (No rust).. new oil strainers, new oil, air filters & spark plugs, new fork seals and steering bearings, new battery. Front brake caliper has had new seals and brake pads.. rear pads like new. New mirrors and clock rubbers, good tyres & chain & sprockets.. full Mot Yesterday.. The bike rides well for 46 years old, brakes need bedding in a bit..

Sadly the bike smokes when it first starts, seems to ease a bit when it warms up, but still smokes.. as I've only ridden it to the mot station and back im guessing the rings might have stuck with standing for so long.. I've found in the past with other bikes ive owned that have been stood, that the more the bike is used the better they become.. Video listed..
