Mid Century Original Signed Painting Clown 70s Italian interior design 1970s

We are delighted to be able to offer for sale this unique piece of late mid century interior design.

A large original signed oil painting of a clown playing a saxophone. This original artwork is created using vivid oils on a canvas and depicts a stylized red nosed clown with baggy trousers, a top hat and oversized shoes playing a saxophone.

This fabulous example is framed in its original white surround and is fully signed at the base by the artist.

We have not been able to attribute this artwork to an artist as the signature is a little indistinct. (TLVIS)? (LVIS)? Your thoughts on this would be very much appreciated.

This is most likely in Italian example and was created in the late sixties to the early 1970s.

It would be the perfect authentic addition to a mid century interior design scheme or as a quirky addition to a man cave.

A must for all lovers of clown and mid century memorabilia.

It comes in excellent pre-loved Vintage condition
No major damage to mention
Just some very nice surface scuffs on the frame

Overall, a lovely example and ready to hang vintage condition
