Antique Vintage Royal model 10 Typewriter, made in 1921

keys work, but the bit that holds the paper does not move when you press them.
Ink ribbon has dried out. Quite dusty.

This would be a good project to try and restore, otherwise an interesting prop or ornament.

Up for sale is a beautiful Royal Standard Model No. 10 which was made in America in 1921. This Model 10 is an earlier variant, with double glass panels on each side, as well as a carriage-shift mechanism instead of a basket shift.

This typewriter types in a slightly smaller typeface (12 characters per inch instead of 10) which is referred to as "elite."

You can re-thread the original spools with ribbon from the universal spools or you can purchase ribbons elsewhere made for the Royal Desktops.

Glass keys from the 20s, this machine is not only a great workhorse, but a beautiful and somewhat uncommon collection piece.
