DAKOTA DELUXE LEEDS is a luxury city-centre hotel with 84-bedrooms including 6 suites, a destination cocktail Bar and brasserie-style Grill located between Greek St and Russell St.

We are seeking an outgoing personality and organised individual for the role of Receptionist, working in our Front of House team of 7 individuals.

We currently have three hotels in Scotland in addition to our new-build property in Leeds which opened May 2017.

The role carries a 40 hour permanent contract and is suitable for an individual seeking flexible shift work; working any 5 days from 7, with shift times typically being 6:45am-3:15pm and 2:45pm-11pm.

Successful candidates will have a true grasp of the essence of Dakota and be confident in providing dynamic service. As well as having a desire to learn and an enthusiasm for the role, having previous experience would be viewed favourably. However, full training will be given. You are expected to look immaculate, have an outgoing personality, and most importantly be yourself! You are also required to promote and maintain the reputation of Dakota by providing exceptional guest care and attentive service.

As the face of Dakota, Receptionists must have a genuine warmth and a passion for delivering authentic hospitality. Job responsibilities include:

–To carry out Reception duties including welcoming guests to Dakota, checking in guests, carrying out ad hoc requests, making bedroom and table reservations, light Housekeeping tasks, checking out guests, and handling guest billing.

–To be computer literate and have a comprehensive knowledge of the Front Office computer systems.

–Provide a consistently excellent level of guest service in accordance to our service principles and values.

–Ensure that all guests receive special attention and recognition.

–Work closely alongside all other departments to ensure excellent communication and be proactive in assisting other departments as required.

–Offer additional services to make the guest experience more seamless i.e. making restaurant reservations, assisting in directions, delivering items to room.

–Ensure the telephone is answered immediately and within 3 rings in a professional manner eg. ‘Good morning Dakota’ and that all messages, calls and faxes are passed on accurately without delay.

The successful applicant will have at least 2 years working experience in a retail or hospitality environment. Front desk experience is strongly preferred.
