Contest CB1 electric ebike with 250W, 36V system motor.
After testing it I am selling for SPARES OR REPAIR.
Works great as a push bike bought by father in law a few years ago, used about 3 times. Has 6 gears, front suspension, the brakes work fine and good tyres. Also has a front basket and lockable rear box with 2 keys. Has lights, mirrors, indicators and a horn, but the horn and lights seem to have stopped working.
It’s in very good cosmetic condition with just a little tiny bit of surface rust here and there.
Includes a brand new helmet, the mains charger and a bike lock, as well as all the keys (a pair of each).
The electric motor definitely does run, but it seems to “stick” and run a bit intermittently unless you move the wheel backwards slightly. I can show what I mean and show you it runs, but I originally thought it might need new batteries, or the rear drum brake servicing or adjusting but I dont really know and haven’t got time to mess with it or take it to pieces to be honest.
Best come and have a look really and make your own appraisal and offer.
With this in mind I haven reduced the asking price even further. If you know anything about these I’m sure I doubt it would take much to get it going properly and is cheap anyway for an e-bike.
