Description
Barker and Stonehouse Urban High Sleeper bed with desk and sofa bed.
High sleeper bed in white painted wood with pine end boards.
The bed has a fixed desk underneath and a separate sofa which extends out into a bed with a mattress underneath the bed when required. The sofa bed is not attached to the main bed so could be used out from the main bed, even in another room.
The bed is about nine years old and in very good condition. It’s constructed of solid wood components, no chipboard or MDF. The only mark on it is a small chip on the edge of the desk (photo). There are no stains or marks from stickers, blu-tak, drawing pins etc. The mattress is a Stompa sprung mattress (full adult size 200 x 90cm) which has always been used with a mattress protector - the mattress can be included or disposed of if you wish to buy a new one.
This bed has been partially dismantled but I have left some parts built up, for example the two ends, to make it easier and quicker to reassemble. The bed has been used with the ladder and desk on the left side: this can be changed to the right side, this would involve further dismantling and reconstruction of the end sections.
The bed would best be transported by van, although it might fit in a large estate car. The longest single part is 200cm long, and the bed ends (photo) measure 100 x 180 cm.
The photos were taken with the bed in a small room, so it was not easy to get far enough away to get a good picture, but inspection of the disassembled bed is welcome.
Original price of this bed was over £1,000
Collection only please from Rothwell LS26 and cash only, thank you.
