Freelance PR Consultant – Media Relations Specialist (UK-Based)
Duration: Late October – End of December 2025 (potential for extension)
Day Rate: Up to £200
Location: Remote first / Ideally local enough to pop into the London office occasional
About the Role
I am looking for an experienced freelance PR professional to provide media pitching support across a range of consumer and technology accounts. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic communications agency supporting innovative clients in the consumer tech, enterprise technology, and telecoms sectors.
You’ll be joining a collaborative and fast-moving team, helping to secure quality coverage across UK national, B2C lifestyle, and B2B tech media. The ideal candidate will be proactive, media-savvy, and confident leveraging strong journalist relationships to drive results.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute targeted media outreach strategies to generate coverage across UK national, lifestyle, and trade outlets.
Proactively pitch stories and news to top-tier journalists, leveraging existing relationships.
Collaborate closely with the agency team to align media activity with client goals.
Support on drafting media materials such as press releases, media lists, and briefing documents as needed.
Track, report, and evaluate media outcomes.
Requirements
Proven experience in media relations within PR, either agency or freelance.
Strong existing contacts across UK national, B2C lifestyle, and B2B tech media (telco relationships a bonus).
Confident and persuasive communicator with excellent written and verbal skills.
Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and deliver results quickly.
