Description

Award-Winning Children’s Book Illustrator
Certificate of Excellence since 2021.
14 years experience | 30+ hires on Bark | Sole trader | Fast response (avg. 40 mins)

Award-winning, best-selling children’s book illustrator with over 14 years of professional experience bringing stories to life through expressive, character-led illustration.
My clients include major international publishers such as Scholastic, BBC, Penguin Random House, DK, Townhouse, and Wonderbly, where I’ve contributed to high-quality, commercially successful children’s books across a range of styles and age groups.
Alongside large-scale publishing work, I also enjoy collaborating with independent and unpublished authors, helping transform early-stage manuscripts into visually compelling, fully illustrated stories ready for pitching or publication.
I specialise in creating warm, engaging, narrative-driven illustrations that connect emotionally with young readers while supporting strong storytelling and clear visual pacing.

I have given Jake Biggin the top billing for his illustrations. I would have liked to talk to him more during the creative process but he quickly got on my wavelength and produced some excellent work. Highly recommend him.

I was so pleased with the way in which Jake interpreted the characters in my text. His sketches were just as I had hoped and brought the words I had written to life.
