Description

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Stock Control Manager to lead the day–to–day operation of a brand new warehouse facility near Sutton Coldfield. The role will report into the Logistics Operations Manager. The facility supports B2B, B2C, and spare parts operations, including the handling of Dangerous Goods (DG) – Class 9. The ideal candidate will drive efficient, compliant, and cost–effective operations while upholding high service standards. Proven experience in setting up new operations, deep knowledge of SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) or other Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).

The main duties will be : Oversee and coordinate all warehouse activities across B2B, B2C, and spare parts operations, including inbound, outbound, storage, returns and inventory control. Manage and optimize WMS to ensure accurate stock visibility, efficient workflows, and real–time tracking. Ensure proper handling, storage, and documentation of Dangerous Goods (Class 9) in accordance with ADR/IATA/IMDG regulations and company policy. Guarantee full compliance with health & safety, DG regulations, and internal operational standards. Partner with departments including Planning, Procurement, E–commerce, and Customer Service to meet service expectations and business needs. Track and improve KPIs (on–time shipping, inventory accuracy, space utilization, etc.) through data–driven decisions. Maintain all warehouse documentation required for audits, reporting, and regulatory inspections.

Qualifications & ExperienceMinimum 5 years' leadership experience in a complex warehouse environment Experience in setting up a new operation. Strong operational knowledge of WMS and warehouse process integration. Proven experience managing Dangerous Goods (DG), specifically Class 9, with knowledge of handling, labelling, and documentation requirements is a distinct advantage. Strong analytical, problem–solving, and organizational capabilities. Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement is a plus. Calm, resilient, and solution–oriented under pressure. Strategic mindset combined with day–to–day execution focus.
