Hours: Monday to Friday (with an early finish on Fridays)

Are you detail-focused, organised, and experienced in food specifications? We’re working with a leading food manufacturing business in Bedfordshire that’s looking for a Specifications Technologist to join their established technical team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a well-respected business supplying major UK retailers and foodservice customers. You’ll play a key role in ensuring technical accuracy, retailer compliance, and product integrity across a diverse and fast-paced product portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

* Create, review, and maintain finished product specifications across retailer and internal systems

* Ensure all labelling and technical documentation complies with customer and legal requirements

* Liaise with suppliers and internal teams to gather raw material information and manage updates

* Support technical and NPD teams during product launches and updates

* Maintain data accuracy on customer portals and internal platforms (e.g. NutriCalc, retailer spec systems)

* Monitor allergen, nutrition, and legislative compliance across products

What You’ll Need:

* Previous experience in a food manufacturing technical or specifications role

* Working knowledge of major UK retailer spec systems

* Familiarity with systems such as NutriCalc, Hamilton Grant, or similar

* Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to data handling

* Strong communication skills and a collaborative working style

* A degree in Food Science or a related discipline (desirable)
