About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Saw Operative to join our metal processing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating precision saw machinery to cut a variety of metal products to customer specifications, ensuring accuracy, quality, and safety at all times.

Key Responsibilities

Operate horizontal and vertical band saws to cut aluminium and other metals to precise measurements.Interpret cutting lists, drawings, and job specifications accurately.Ensure all cuts meet required tolerances and quality standards.Perform routine checks and maintenance on saw equipment to ensure optimal performance.Handle and move metal stock safely using appropriate lifting equipment.Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to health and safety regulations.Record production data and report any discrepancies or machine issues promptly.Work collaboratively with the warehouse and production teams to meet deadlines.

Skills & Experience Required

Previous experience operating saws or similar cutting machinery in a manufacturing or metalworking environment.Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and measurements.Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.Good understanding of health and safety practices in an industrial setting.
