Quality Supervisor

Location: Whitstable, Kent

Salary: GBP30,000 per annum

Our client is a Kent–based manufacturing company with a worldwide customer base and a reputation for high–quality products used in harsh environments. Operating in competitive markets, they are committed to continuous improvement and are now seeking a proactive and detail–oriented Quality Supervisor to lead their quality initiatives.

You ll oversee goods–inwards inspection, process control, and data analysis, driving improvements across production. This is a hands–on, shop–floor–based role requiring strong leadership and technical expertise.

Responsibilities include:

Reducing variation through process control and quality plans Goods–in inspection Developing and maintaining quality control procedures Conducting audits to ensure compliance Analysing data to identify root causes Collaborating with sales to resolve customer issues Implementing corrective and preventative actions Maintaining accurate quality records Ensuring calibration of quality control equipment Leading continuous improvement projects Reporting on quality performance

Candidate requirements:

BTec or higher in Engineering, Manufacturing, or Quality Management (or equivalent experience) Experience in manufacturing quality assurance Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and quality systems Analytical and problem–solving skills Proficiency with quality control tools/software Excellent communication and teamwork Root cause analysis expertise Attention to detail and commitment to quality Knowledge of plastic moulding, press tool work, machining, and assembly operations is advantageous.
