Quality Manager

Location: LancasterJob Type: Full–timeWe are seeking a Quality Manager to join a dynamic manufacturer. Reporting to the Managing Director, this role involves maintaining and improving our ISO9001 accredited Quality Management System (QMS) in a fast–paced, mixed–model manufacturing environment. The Quality Manager will lead a small team and drive a continuous improvement culture across the business by providing support, coaching, and training in quality principles and continuous improvement techniques.

Day–to–day of the role:

Manage quality aspects within the business management system.Schedule and undertake internal audits.Collate, analyse, and present KPI results to the Operations Management team.Oversee the calibration of all measurement devices.Assist in reviewing and updating procedures to support the business management system.Lead workshops, projects, and investigations driven by COPQ & KPI outputs.Drive the continued effectiveness of root cause, corrective, and preventative actions around all non–conformance.Manage the Quality Engineer and any other nominated quality representatives.Support Incoming Quality Control processes.Facilitate audits from external regulatory bodies and third–party inspectors.Manage customer complaints and supplier corrective actions/improvements.Promote a quality culture across the business.Support the R&D and technical teams (FMEA).Required Skills & Qualifications:

Internal auditing experience.Knowledge of problem–solving/continuous improvement processes.Understanding of applying Lean in a manufacturing environment.Excellent communication skills, essential for contact with employees, customers, and suppliers.Ability to lead and mentor a small quality team and associated departments.Self–motivated individual with the capability of identifying sustainable business improvements and ensuring effective implementation.Active promotion of good EH&S & Quality practices.Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages (PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint, and Excel).MRP experience.Excellent time management and ability to meet deadlines.Desirable: Recognised Quality Management Qualification and Certified lead auditor.Benefits:
