Job title: Quality Assurance Specialist

Location: Bedfordshire

Hours: Mon–Thu 08:00–16:30 | Fri 08:00–16:00

Salary: £31,500

We’re working with a leading food manufacturer in the Bedfordshire area that’s looking to expand its Quality Team with the addition of a Quality Assurance Specialist. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to step into a varied, hands-on QA role within a supportive and quality-driven environment.

The Role:

As QA Specialist, you’ll play a key role in ensuring compliance with food safety and quality standards across multiple sites. You’ll support internal and external audits, manage testing schedules, lead investigations into non-conformances, and contribute to the wider food safety culture.

Key Responsibilities:

* Carry out product, environmental, allergen, and water testing; analyse results and escalate where needed

* Prepare and present traceability exercises for external audits

* Conduct internal audits and ensure compliance with company policies and BRCGS standards

* Collaborate across departments to drive improvements and deliver CAPAs

* Deliver food safety and quality training across the site

* Attend cross-functional meetings and support business-wide quality initiatives

What You’ll Need:

* Degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or related field (or equivalent experience)

* Previous QA/Technical experience within the food manufacturing sector

* Auditing qualification and strong knowledge of BRCGS standards

* HACCP and Food Safety qualifications

* Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel when required

* Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills
