Job Title: Skilled Metal Finisher (Polisher/Fettler)

Job Type: Full–Time

Hours: 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Overview:

An established and respected engineering manufacturer is seeking a Skilled Metal Finisher (Polisher/Fettler) to join their team. This is a hands–on role within a small, dedicated polishing department, where you will work primarily with stainless steel components for food processing machinery.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform high–quality polishing and fettling on stainless steel surfaces, including satin, mirror, shot blast, and scotch–bright finishes.Work in a small team within a polishing shop, as well as on large machinery outside the shop due to equipment size.Occasionally assist with on–site installations at customer locations.Maintain a clean and safe working environment, despite the naturally dirty nature of the role. Requirements:

Proven experience in metal finishing, polishing, and fettling, particularly with stainless steel.Familiarity with various finishing techniques and tools.Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.Comfortable working in a physically demanding and sometimes messy environment.Willingness to travel occasionally for on–site installations.
