Description

Assistant Finance Manager

Location: Accrington, Lancashire

About the company: An established design–related company

Salary: 45,000 – 50,000 (dependent on experience) plus excellent benefits and progression.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9 –5 or 9:30am – 5:30pm (37.5 hours per week), 5 days in the office with a flexibility.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated, detail–oriented individual to support the Finance Manager and contribute to the smooth running of the financial operations. You'll be part of a small, friendly team working in a fast–paced environment where accuracy and efficiency are key.

Key Responsibilities

Manage online banking and BACS payments to UK suppliers and for expensesPerform bank reconciliations in Dollar and EuroProcess foreign payments via Telebanking and maintain the systemHandle petty cash and banking receiptsComplete reports for the Office of National StatisticsChallenge parking tickets and take telephone paymentsProcess private mileage and expensesRespond to customer enquiries professionallyPrepare payroll journals, manage fixed assets and prepaymentsAssist with VAT returns, month–end processes, and other ad hoc dutiesSkills & Experience

Part–qualified CIMA (or equivalent) e.g. AAT level 3 or 4 or working towards qualificationMinimum 2 years' experience in a similar finance role, preferably in a medium or large sized company.Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with Sage 200 or similar systems preferredStrong time management and organisational skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal abilitiesCommercial awareness and a proactive approach to problem–solvingIf you're enthusiastic, hardworking, and ready to take the next step in your finance career, we'd love to hear from you.
