Initially the position is a Junior role, but it is expected that the employee will quickly develop a thorough understanding of all aspects of the business. This hands-on role will involve significant mechanical assembly, electronic/pneumatic assembly and building of machines. Some PLC programming may be required together with elements of planning, customer/supplier liaison and design.


• To assemble and build machinery including programming, wiring, installation of pneumatic systems and testing
• To assist with the installation of equipment and training of customers
• To carry out the testing, installation and maintenance of machines (with other staff if necessary)
• To assist with the design and/or integration new machines to suit customer requirements
• Assist on planning controller layouts and planning wire and pipe runs
• Where appropriate to specify and order subcomponents from suppliers

The successful candidate should work in a precise and methodical manner and should, after appropriate experience, be capable of identifying and highlighting potential errors or problems.
An aptitude for mechanics would also be useful.

Working hours are 8.00 to 5.30 Monday to Thursday . Friday 8.00 to 3.00
40 minutes for lunch

Flexible but based around a Basic £17,000 per annum plus a performance related bonus. A Company Van or Car will be provided if necessary – otherwise payment for use of own vehicle in accordance with Government Fixed Profit Car Scheme.
Other expenses may be reclaimed at the end of each month by submitting a completed expenses form together with supporting invoices.

Optional Overtime
The salary will be reviewed after three months and thereafter annually in April.
