Job Title: Senior Transport Planner

Location: Ridham, Sittingbourne

Salary: Competitive

Job Type: Permanent, Full time

Working Hours: Monday – Friday 8am – 5.30pm – Flexibility needed to be available out of hours due to the requirements of the contract.

As part of our partnership with Southern Water, Countrystyle Recycling will supply haulage services for the movement of filter cake across Kent, Sussex and Hampshire. These core services will be delivered with a focus on sustainability, operational efficiency, and a commitment to exceptional service. About the role:

As the largest Rollon provider in Kent, you would be working closely with our Rollon supervisor, this planner position will be solely planning our Southern Water contract.

Main Duties – Principle Responsibilities:

Review, allocate and schedule jobs for the Roll–on fleet to maximise operational and logistical performance, using the Company's planning and operating systems.Liaise with drivers on a regular basis throughout the day to ensure effective vehicle resources are available and ensure safe vehicle operations.Review and support the optimisation of fleet resources and operations to improve profitability and customer service, ensuring all KPI'S are met.Implementation of road transport compliance policies, standards and procedures.Manage team of drivers in line with Company policies and procedures, including, where necessary, assisting with disciplinary mattersCommunicate with internal stakeholders, and external customers as required, to resolve all customer service queries.Ensure that all queries within the transport operation are dealt with in a timely manner and in accordance with agreed service level agreements.Ensure that fleet vehicles are available for scheduled services and compliant to use in all transport operations.Co–ordinate with fleet workshops (internal and external) over maintenance of vehicle defects raised by driversInput job requests raised accurately onto the job system.Liaise with Fleet Compliance team and coordinate the investigation of all road transport accidents.Liaise with Health and Safety team and coordinate the investigation of all personal injury accidents, as well as risk assessments of operations and customer sites.Ensure that all relevant toolbox talks issued by the Compliance team are delivered to the drivers in line with Company policy.Staff have a duty to take care of their own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by their actions at work.Staff must co–operate, report unsafe conditions and comply with the company management systems and safe systems of work as well as co–workers to help everyone meet their legal requirements.The above list is not exhaustive, and the post holder will be required to undertake such tasks as may reasonably be expected within the scope and grading of the post. Knowledge of AMCS operating systemsHGV LicenceFull understanding of the London Lorry Control, ULEZ and Congestion zone rules and regulations.Previous experience in the Waste industryCPCBenefits:
