Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled HGV Class 1 Tramper to join our bulk haulage team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of aggregates and feed to various locations across the UK. This role requires a professional attitude, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage long-distance journeys while ensuring timely deliveries.

Responsibilities

Operate HGV Class 1 vehicles in compliance with all relevant regulations and safety standards.

Conduct pre-journey vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness and safety.

Transport goods securely, including bulk aggregates and feed deliveries, ensuring they are loaded and unloaded correctly.

Maintain accurate delivery records and complete necessary paperwork.

Adhere to scheduled routes and delivery times while managing any unforeseen delays effectively.

Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, representing the company professionally at all times.

Report any vehicle defects or issues immediately to management.

Comply with driving hours regulations and take required breaks as mandated.

Requirements

Valid HGV Class 1 driving licence with a clean driving record.

Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly in long-distance or tramper roles.

Experience with Bulk Tipper lorries and self loading with telescopic handlers is advantageous but not essential.

Strong understanding of road safety regulations and compliance requirements.

Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently.

Good communication skills for effective interaction with customers and team members.

Flexibility to work varied hours, including nights away from home as required by the role.
