Hours: Core hours 10 00 (flexibility required for 24/7 operation)

About the Role:

We re seeking an experienced Exports Team Manager to lead and develop a busy exports department within a leading airfreight business. This is a pivotal role ensuring exceptional client service, smooth operational performance, and a motivated, high–performing team delivering excellence 24/7, 365 days a year.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and support the Exports team to ensure consistent high performance.

Deliver outstanding customer service by ensuring client updates, communications, and queries are handled efficiently.

Oversee export processes including GRN, screening, and delivery coordination to ensure on–time performance.

Identify and implement service improvements and operational efficiencies.

Ensure compliance with company standards, objectives, and quality requirements.

Support staff training and development to maintain a skilled, knowledgeable team.

Maintain clear and accurate records and client reporting.

Oversee client liaison inbox and ensure prompt response to all booking and handling requests.

Build and maintain strong client relationships to enhance retention and growth.

Experience & Skills Required:

Minimum 3 years experience in a similar export or airfreight environment.

Proven background in managing export operations and leading teams effectively.

Strong understanding of vehicle capacity, load planning, and aviation security.

Excellent communication, decision–making, and organisational skills.

Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast–paced logistics environment.

Highly proactive, process–driven, and detail–oriented.

Capable of developing both people and processes to deliver consistent results.
