Visiting people in their homes, you’ll promote and sell the full range of Virgin Media products and services. You’ll make the most of your customer service and sales experience by engaging with potential customers and helping them to find the products that make them happy.
When you knock on the door they might not be interested straight away. So you’ll need to gain their trust – by asking the right questions to quickly find out what makes them tick, and listen carefully to what their needs might be. And, as you make sure that your product, pricing and offer knowledge is fully up-to-date, you’ll have all the information you need to answer their questions, deal with any objections and raise their interest.
Our most successful sales people come from similar field sales backgrounds. However, we would also like to hear from you if you have any cold calling experience.
You’ll have targets to meet, so you’ll need to be persistent and persuasive - without being aggressive - to turn your appointments into actual sales. But it’s not just about spotting opportunities to sell the right products – it’s about helping our customers to make the most of them too. So we’ll expect you to keep your eyes open for ways that we can keep improving our services and offer even greater value for money.
Our products are far from ordinary, and selling them isn’t a standard 9 to 5 job. So you should be willing to work flexible hours, including some Saturdays and Sundays, and able to travel around your designated region. You’ll also need a full, clean, driving licence.
