Modern and stylish apartment with sea views in Sicily. Casa Mulinazzo

Description

The apartment is located in the area of Mulinazzo, within the small town of Cinisi.
If you are looking to get away from it all, with a sea breeze, a walkable beach with crystal clear water and great affordable restaurants and bars - this may be the place for you.
The location is a 15-minute drive from Palermo's Falcone e Borsellino ( Punta Raisi) airport.
It is near to the secondary runway so there can be plane noise, depending on the day. If you're not worried about seeing the occasional taxiing plane, you're rewarded with unobstructed views of the Mediterranean Sea, neighbouring beach towns, mountains and a phenomenal west-facing sunset from the terrace. The location is also just right if you are looking to explore the beautiful and very local areas of Segesta, Erice, Trapani, Scopello, Palermo and Cefalu to name a few.
The apartment is just over a kilometre outside of the town, which has a great supermarkets, but also several independent delicatessens, bakeries and butchers. There's space to park on the quiet street outside the apartment, and also inside the lockable gates.
The lounge room with a 5m wide window is 7m x 7m, so there's a real feeling of space. There are two double bedrooms and two modern bathrooms (one ensuite), the kitchen is large and equipped with all domestic appliances including a dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, coffee maker, crockery, glassware etc. There's air conditioning in the living room and in one of the two bedrooms, but for us it is nicer to have the doors open and feel the sea breeze.
If you're staying in, there's a large L-shaped sofa, lots of seating and space (and a huge bean bag for the children to enjoy), and a flat-screen Smart TV. Outside, there's a large garden, pergola and BBQ dining space.
You are walking distance from Magaggiari beach and a little further there's the more tourist town of Terrasini (3km).
This is my second home, where I spend a lot of my time when I am not working in London as an architect. I am very happy to share my space with my guests, but please be considerate and respectful of my beautiful home and my neighbours as this is not a party home.

The house is managed by Mara, a lovely lady from my town ready to help with advice and anything needed
Lastly, there's bedding, towels, pots and pans - it's a home that you can be comfortable in rather than a hotel room.

About the Boiler:
we have a hot water cylinder with a limited amount of hot water but enough especially in summer time!!!

Air conditioning: There is air conditioning only in the living room-kitchen area and in one of the two bedrooms.

We believe that due to the sea breeze, the apartment doesn't get too hot.
Bare in mind Sicily during the summer months, from June to September temperatures can be high.
If you require constant air-con on as you would in a hotel, possibly this is not the place for you. My life philosophy is to pay attention to the environment, this is the simple reason for me to choose to not have Air-con in every room.
The Garden: The gardener usually comes once a week (on Friday mornings) to water the plants and take care of the garden, but does not have access to the house.
