Description

An excellent car that's amazing fun to drive and still rated very highly by the motoring public.

A lot of money has been spent on parts (over £1000, receipts included) in the last year as I was intending on keeping it for a long time:
* Driver and passenger engine mounts (Innovative mounts, 60A) - the rear mount is still available to fit for those who want to fast-road/track-day (further increasing the stiffness)
* New exhaust manifold heat shield/cowl and middle box heat shield (to protect the engine bay, passenger compartment and fuel tank from waste heat)
* Rear drop links (Lemforder, all metal)
* Rear discs and pads (Pagid, with corrosion inhibitors)
* 4 new tyres (Toyo CF2's over-wide [225/45/17], rears just a couple of months ago)
* New radiator (and Honda long-life coolant, should last 60,000 Mi)
* Honda (HAMP) oil filter (and using fully synthetic oils, 5w40)
* Honda OEM air filter
* Transmission oil (Honda MTF-3, as recommended)
* Rear light foam seals
* New electronic load detector (to prevent wear on the alternator)
* New knock sensor (to prevent engine damage from misfires/knocking)
* New floor mats
* Spark plugs (NGK Iridium IFR7G-11KS - good long-life plugs, shouldn't need to change these for another 5 years)

Whenever changing parts (like the engine mounts for example) I also replaced bolts and clips with Honda OEM parts. This increased the price but it makes future work in that area easier because they are much newer and not rusted or worn.

There is a Clifford 300 Thatcham CAT1 alarm/immobiliser and the car itself has an inbuilt immobiliser (based on the key, without the Honda key the engine will not start).

It has a Sony CD head-unit with remote and which supports bluetooth audio from phones and 3.5mm aux input.

The bodywork is in over all excellent condition. There is a small cigarette burn on the right rear passenger seat (from a previous owner - I'm a non-smoker), a small patch of paint gloss delamination (pictured) below the driver's side rear window, the centre console and internal door handles have some wear/scratches and the gear knob has some wear. The new engine mounts have increased cabin vibration slightly but everything mechanically runs sweetly.

VTEC engages at 5800rpm and the gearbox changes smoothly, no smoke and minimal oil usage.

This car is great fun to drive. I'm only selling because I've decided to upgrade to a newer model of the Type R.

£1895 or very near offer.

Message me if you'd like to view the car. To test drive I'll need to see your drivers license and proof that you're insured to drive other cars. Any other questions please ask.
