I'm a young at heart guy with a high-level spinal-cord injury; paralysed below the shoulders and wheelchair dependent.
Regardless of injury I live a healthy and active lifestyle; I exercise regularly and like to be out and about as much as possible whether it's swimming, laps around the sports track or playing wheelchair rugby [see photo's & video below].
I have an adapted car which I drive on trips out locally and further afield. In the coming year, with the right care support I'd like to drive across Europe to my parents in Bulgaria, or perhaps fly to Los Angeles and drive to Illinois to visit my friends.
I enjoy activities to help in fundraising, last year I took part in a 450 km hand cycle across Cuba to raise funds for Regain the sports charity for tetraplegics, like me. Next year I hope to do a similar challenge in Kenya.
I enjoy nightlife when I have the opportunity as well as the
annual trip to San Antonio, Ibiza for a lively fun filled holiday with my younger brother, obviously I need care support :)
I'm an ex-soldier and university graduate, accomplished artist and qualified art psychotherapist. I have in an depth understanding of my neurological condition and associated physical impairment, consequently I am most qualified to manage my care and able communicate my needs effectively.
