Description

Intereresting and VERY RARE set of carriage door furniture in excess of 150 years old, removed from a mid 1800s passenger carriage of the London, Brighton & South Coast Railway which ran between 1846-1922 !. This set comprises solid brass upper, mid and lower hinges, solid brass outer and inner handles with steel spindle, brass cased lock, and steel frame/striker plate. All except spindle and striker plate boldly engraved/embossed with the L B & S C Railway lettering. A highly collectable set, and could even be reused on a heavy door. Collect or insured tracked postage at cost.
