Description
'Dumpy' level.
Collectable survey measurement instrument boxed and fully functioning. The equvalent of a builders survey level. Invented in 1832 by the English civil engineer William Gravatt. The box carries a note of service dated 1952 by G. Hutchison and sons of edinburgh est.1886.
All parts move as they should beautiful brass mechanisms smooth operation and dark-green patina. This antique comes boxed and shows signs of age.
Restoration project, historical memerobelia.
Boxed dimensions 7.5 deep, 8 wide and 16 long.
