Role: School Support Worker

Location: Reddish Hall School, Stockport SK5 6UY

Salary: GBP22,160.62 per annum ( not pro rata )

Hours: 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday 8:00am - 4:00pm

Contract: Permanent Term Time Only

Start: November 2025

Reddish Hall School is seeking a caring and dedicated School Support Worker to join our team. This is a rewarding role where you will make a real difference in the lives of children and young people with special educational needs.

About the Role

This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children and young people with special educational needs.

You will work closely with teachers and therapists to provide tailored support both in and outside the classroom, helping pupils to develop confidence, independence, and positive behaviours. Your role is central to creating a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment where every pupil can thrive.

Key Responsibilities

Support pupils' learning and engagement in line with their individual needsEncourage and motivate pupils to reach their personal goalsHelp pupils develop social, emotional, and behavioural skillsBuild strong, trusting relationships with pupils, staff, and familiesContribute to a safe, inclusive, and positive school environmentPerson Specification

Essential:

GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English - Grade C / 4 or aboveGenuine passion for supporting children with additional needsCalm, compassionate, and proactive approachStrong team player with excellent communication skillsDesirable:
