Description

Inclusive Living Disability Adviser

Location: We have two positions, one in Kirkintilloch (Fixed Term Contract 12 Months) and one in Glasgow, G40 3AP (Permanent)!

Salary: GBP27,234 per annum, FTE + Excellent Benefits!

Contract: 1 x 25 hours per week FTC (12 Months) in Kirkintilloch and 1 x 35 hours per week Permanent in Glasgow

Benefits: 25 days annual leave increasing to 30 days after 5 years (pro–rata for part time staff), 12 public holidays, 6% Pension contribution and Group Life Insurance!

Provide information, guidance, and support to people in receipt of Direct Payments (DPs), the Independent Living Fund (ILF), or Individual Budgets (IBs). Help individuals assess their needs, explore options, and put support arrangements in place. Support people with planning, financial monitoring paperwork, and recruiting/managing their own staff where needed. Liaise with other organisations and provide referrals to ensure service users get the right support. Deliver advice and training to individuals, families, and carers on self–directed support. Promote awareness of independent living through talks, presentations, and meetings. This is a rewarding role where you will play a vital part in empowering disabled people to take control of their lives and remain independent in their own homes.
