Behaviour Support Assistant – Bristol

Mainstream Primary School

ASAP Start – Bristol

A rewarding and exciting role as a Behaviour Support Assistant has opened for an aspiring SEN teacher, educational psychologist, support worker or occupational therapist.

Do you have an interest in supporting children with challenging behaviour? Are you able to build meaningful connections that will enable a child to thrive? Is it your aspiration to be the role model that a child may need to get them on the right path? If this sounds like you, then a fantastic opportunity for a recent graduate as a Behaviour Support Assistant has become available in Bristol.

A Behaviour Support Assistant role is an ideal match for a recent psychology or criminology graduate who has a passion for understanding the triggering factors behind challenging behaviour. As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will have the chance to work alongside and learn from experienced professionals such as SENCOs, Educational Psychologists, and Occupational Therapists. This hands–on experience will be invaluable if you are looking to progress in education, mental health, or child development.

As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will work closely with young learners who display behaviour that falls outside the expected boundaries within the school. You will implement specific strategies, provide emotional support, and promote positive habits that help improve pupils' well–being and social interactions.
