Description

Are you a values-driven leader with a passion for improving outcomes for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)? Nottinghamshire County Council's Statutory SEND Service is seeking a dynamic Advanced Practitioner to join our expanding and ambitious service.

Established in response to the SEND Reforms of 2014, our Statutory 0-25 SEND Service brings together a range of statutory and regulated education and social care services to deliver a coordinated, child and young person-centred approach. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a team within a service responsible for progressing Education Health Care Needs Assessments (EHCNA) and maintaining all Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) for children and young people with SEND.

What We're Looking For

We are seeking a collaborative and resilient advanced practitioner who thrives in a complex, multi-agency environment and is committed to continuous improvement. You will:

Have in-depth knowledge of SEND legislation, particularly the Children and Families Act 2014 and the SEND Code of Practice.

Provide advanced professional leadership, mentoring, and support with quality assurance across the EHC Assessment Team.

Be comfortable with leading and supporting complex EHC casework, including mediations, tribunals, and complaints.

Support and develop staff capability through coaching and reflective supervision.

Drive continuous improvement in EHC processes, ensuring compliance, quality, and positive outcomes.

What We Offer

Nottinghamshire County Council has made a significant investment in its Statutory SEND Service. You'll be joining a supportive, innovative team at a pivotal time of growth and transformation.
