Similar in size to the Dreadnaught D32 series but with slope shoulder styling similar to a Gibson J-45
High end rare anniversary SJ32S George Washburn limited edition signature model bought new for £799 in 2004 and was also upgraded to a newer Fishman pickup with tuner from original basic version about 8 years ago at a local guitar shop

I bought it new direct from Washburn as it had limited edition refinements such as Grover 18:1 fine tuners which keep tune perfectly, lovely striped deep grained Macassar Ebony back and sides and a solid Red Cedar top

The Cedar top adds some extra warmth so its quite a versatile guitar suiting all styles of playing It has a quite slim neck profile which still plays great with no fret wear & setup for a nice low action of around 2mm at 12th fret on low E string

It was setup / restrung recently by local guitar tech with new quality 11 guage phosphor bronze strings Ernie Ball Earthwoods in April not played much since as selling most guitars as can no longer play much

A very rare guitar these days & it was quite high up in the range only made for a few months built with much better woods , build quality and playability than many much higher priced guitars

Apart from a couple of tiny dints / marks its all in great condition as was never played outside house much just a couple of times for open mic xmas nights
A guitar of this tone and quality would cost a lot more these days

Ive no idea of a true value as havent seen another up for sale for years now & not going to risk posting Listed much lower what I paid new 20yrs ago for quick sale & open to offers

A little History of Washburn SJ Southern Jumbo Slope Shouldered anniversary models

I did have a reply from Washburn when attempting to get more history few years back the only catalogue entry online now is in in thier 2005 pdf for the later SJ45 Koa & Cedar woods version of this that was also short run limited model As Washburn are now owned by another company they have few details online about legacy models but these models were quite a step up from the usual D or WDs etc
