Description

A vintage Ibanez FG-100 archtop in very good condition and fully working. Made in
Japan. All original - nothing has been modified. It has Super 58 pickups. Serial
number H840872. A knowledgeable contributor on the Ibanez Collectors, gave this
response to an FG-100 owner's question:

The serial number H702432 should be interpreted as follows:
H = Terada factory (Japan)
7 = 1987
Your guitar was the 2432nd guitar made at Terada's for Hoshino in 1987.

That indicates that this guitar was made in 1988. Ibanez discontinued these models
in 1988, so this is likely one of the last to be made.

Note that the body has a depth of 2.75" with 16" lower bout, so this is a little thinner
than the Gibson ES-175 body depth. It's light and comfortable to play.

An excellent sounding guitar. It's had a recent (i.e. early October 2017) full service and full frets replacement by luthier Enrico Savoncelli (of Les Aldrich in Muswell Hill and Dots Music in Camden). New strings - D'Addario Half Rounds EHR350, 12-52 gauge - were strung on during recent service. The fingerboard is smooth with no dings or divots. The tuning heads are solid/firm and keep the guitar in tune. It's in tip top condition for playing.

I would expect advanced guitarists may be interested in this guitar as an investment. These guitars rarely come up for sale, so this is a good investment, as they will continue to appreciate in value.

Note that it comes with a firmly-padded gig bag that is included in the sale (see
photos). It has some useful compartments for gig accessories.

Viewing welcome (I'm based in Ealing, west London). Collection only, or courier collection at one's own cost/risk (payment via bank transfer). Cash on collection is fine. PayPal is also an option, but note that due to PayPal's seller fee, an additional 3% will be added to listed price.
