Fender Modern Player Short Scale Telecaster (2014) - upgraded!

Description

Originally only made for two years in China, intended as a beginners guitar, but is actually very easy and manageable to play in all scenarios, very light, comfortable to play and a breeze to carry around (it will fit in a Martin or Taylor travel guitar gig bag).

I’ve used it as my back-up guitar for gigging since purchased new from GAK in 2014, Music Radar described it as: ’Super-light, super-resonant, super-priced. Small and well formed’ & ‘The extra elasticity of a shorter scale length combined with traditional Fender appointments has its appeal’

I’ve upgraded the guitar in the following ways:
Pots and circuit parts upgraded
Neck pickup is now a Maybach Spirit of ’59 humbucker (super dynamic and punchy!)
Bridge pickup is now a Seymour Duncan Little ‘59 s/c sized humbucker with coil split on tone knob (split when down, full HB when up) 

I had the guitar relic’d (see photos), it was a pro job (see photos), with great crackling on the paint finish, giving it a real retro vintage vibe!

It was also re-fretted with chunky frets, making it a breeze to play and bend notes, it’s set up with 10-46 string, it plays great, sounds punchy and is very versatile.

Selling due to cutting back on collection, this guitar needs a good home, it’s a bit of an oddball, but really looks and sounds the part, if you’re cool with a short sale Tele maybe it's for you :-)
