1988 vintage Ibanez FG-100 archtop guitar (make/model used by George Benson in the 80s).

Ealing Broadway, London £985.00

A vintage Ibanez FG-100 archtop in very good condition and fully working. Made in
Japan. All original - nothing has been modified. It has Super 58 pickups. Serial
number H840872.
This guitar was made around late 1987 to early 1988, as Ibanez discontinued these
models in 1988.

Note that the body has a depth of 2.75 inches with a 16 inch lower bout, so this is a
little thinner than the Gibson ES-175 body depth. It's light and comfortable to play.

An excellent sounding guitar. It's had a recent (i.e. early October 2017) full service
and full frets replacement by luthier Enrico Savoncelli (of Les Aldrich in Muswell Hill
and Dots Music in Camden). New strings - D'Addario Half Rounds EHR350, 12-52
gauge - were strung on during recent service. The fingerboard is smooth with no
dings or divots. The tuning heads are solid/firm and keep the guitar in tune. It's in tip
top condition for playing.

You can see footage of George Benson playing this make/model at his Montreux
1986 concert - Google it. Also, remember to click on the video tab to see me playing
this actual guitar on sale (excuse my dodgy playing!).

I would expect intermediate and advanced level guitarists may be interested in this
guitar. These guitars rarely come up for sale, so this is a good investment, as they
will continue to appreciate in value.

Note that it comes with a firmly-padded gig bag that is included in the sale (see
photos). It has some useful compartments for gig accessories.

Viewing welcome (I'm based in Ealing, west London). Collection preferred, or courier
collection at one's own cost/risk. Cash, PayPal or online bank transfer payment on
collection is fine.
