Since 1994 Simon has taught thousands of students, ranging from complete beginners through to aspiring professional guitar and bass players. These have included students as young as five through to those in their eighties !

He teaches exclusively online* using the Rock Out Loud music teaching app (very easy for students to use and much better sound than either Zoom or Skype)

Cost : £ 20.00 per 30 minute lesson / £40.00 per 60 minute lesson

* I also offer home visits to students within 5-10 minutes drive from Petworth who are able to have lessons at home.

BIO

Simon Tittley is a professional guitarist and bassist, singer/songwriter, record producer and guitar and bass teacher.

 While at drama school in the nineteen seventies Simon was encouraged by Wrecking Crew guitarist BARNEY KESSEL to learn to read on guitar and to study music theory. This led to him having lessons with BBC session guitarist ALAN SHUTTLEWORTH at Birmingham Guitar School, where he later taught.

When his teacher and mentor retired and moved to rural France in the early nineteen eighties Simon took over the administration and day-to-day running of the school. He later went on to work as a musician and producer in South East Asia, Europe, the USA and the UK. He has written, engineered and produced albums for major and indie labels and emerging independent artists.

Since returning to the UK in 1994 after a three year period of being signed as an artist to an indie label in the United States, Simon has successfully taught thousands of guitar and bass students.

Simon continues to mentor and encourage former pupils including jazz guitar virtuoso and 13th Hour Records artist LEE JONES and award-winning singer/songwriter JACK HARRIS.

Simon left the Hereford Courtyard Theatre in 2012, after playing nearly four hundred shows there. In 2015 he was encouraged by jazz fusion guitarist LARRY CORYELL to return to playing live music.
