This is an antique driver produced by Cochranes ltd, Edinburgh in late 1923 to commemorate the British open in 1923. Walter Hagen was a prominent professional golfer and a key figure in the British Open, held that year at Royal Troon. While he was the defending champion, Hagen was ultimately defeated by Englishman, Arthur Havers, who won by a single point. This event is remembered as a significant moment in golf history, especially for its American vs British storyline
