LOCATION: Strensall, near York

JOB TITLE: Cadet Office Manager

SALARY & BENEFITS: Starting salary of £24,934

WORKING HOURS: 37.5 hours per week but some flexibility may be required

THE COMPANY: Our client is an organisation that supports the reserve forces and cadets in the Yorkshire and Humber areas. They have an exciting opportunity available for a Cadet Office Manager to join their team on a full time permanent basis in Strensall, near York.

THE ROLE: As the Cadet Office Manager, you will be responsible to the CEO for the provision of staff support and supervision of clerical support.

Key Responsibilities/duties of a Cadet Office Manager to include:-

Management of the running of the general office(s)
Line Management of two clerical E1 administrative officers (AO)
Providing direct support to the volunteer staff in planning and administration
Coordination and forward planning
Liaison with outside agencies and the chain of command

THE CANDIDATE: The ideal candidate will need to be self- motivated, highly organised and able to identify and prioritise targets. You will need to live within a commutable distance to Strensall.

Key experience essential for the role of Cadet Office Manager-

Strong IT skills, especially familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
Familiarisation with WESTMINSTER and JPA is desirable
Knowledge of the Cadet Forces is essential
ECDL qualified or equivalent is advantageous
